For this video story assignment, I decided to make a video about my college life. I have been studying at Washington State University for almost two years, and throughout this time, I started to like this school more and more. There are many reasons I love about my college life, and I want to share this story with my classmates in Com210.
First of all, I created a storyboard for my video and planned the video to have the length of 1:30 mins. I then wrote a script of what I will be covering in the video and made a plan. I interviewed my best friends Sandra and Jackie about their opinions about WSU, and I recorded myself introducing myself at the beginning of the video. I also went to Gortzgen Hall, Regents Hall and some other places to take videos and pictures to use in my video. After all the resources are collected, I started to record myself so that I could add the recordings to the video. After I am done with the recording, I am finally ready to start making my video. I edited my video on adobe premiere. Firstly, I numbered all the videos and pictures to put them in order, and then I embedded recordings to put them together with the videos. It was kind of hard for me to edit the videos and recordings together and it took me a long time to match the length of the recordings with the time. I had to cut the videos or to record myself more for them to go together. The most challenging part in making this video was to gather all the recourses I need. It took me a long time to go to different places to take pictures and videos, and also telling my friends what to say in my video and practice with them, we kept on laughing during recording but it was fun.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed making this video and the premier tutorial really helped, I kept on going back to see if I am doing right. I’m looking forward hearing suggestions from my peers and improve it better.
Anyi – I enjoyed watching your video story draft. It was interesting to hear what you love most about being a Washington State University student and why you consider this your home. Adding some quotes and opinions of some of your close friends and colleagues at school was a great addition and gave a more personal insight to who you are and the people you connect with. In terms of overall video, I thought the scenes you shot were great for the story you were trying to convey. Adding video of your dorm, class halls, and other pertinent scenes made them all relevant to your story. A suggestion of mine might be to add text that includes the names of your friends when they are introduced into your video. A small title giving them credit can go a long ways for the final product. In general, I really enjoyed your draft video story and couldn’t find much to critique, edit, or change.

Hello there Anyi! I am so glad that you are liking Washington State University just as much as I am! First off I’d like to say that I found your draft story very interesting to watch. I found it to be both unique and entertaining. I really liked the music you chose to accompany the draft video. Music is great for filling in any unwanted audio gaps and you have definitely achieved a nice balance between your audio and music. I was really happy to see that you made use of some of the transitions for different shots showcasing the many buildings on campus and how you have used voice-over during parts of your shots. The only suggestion to add a title that names your interview subjects. Overall, I was thoroughly entertained by your draft video story and am interested to see what changes will be made between now and the final submission of the assignment.

Hi, AnYi, This is Aboluo.Fnu, group member from the Unit 4 draft feedback group, i think your work is really good first, the background music and all the clips and the PowerPoint like picture about the Murrow college are really well combined. I have to say that there is not too many things that need to be correct, maybe just add a citation to the music you used in your draft story. And everything else looks just fine, and i also think that you can give credits about the other person who showed up in your draft, and another thing that can be improve is at the end of your video story, in my opinion, the ending part is seems finished a little bit fast, which means it looks a little bit rush, my advise is that keep using the background music and let it fade out at the end of the story>Anyway, well done and good luck on final.
